A few weeks on from Society Street Virtual, we are bringing some of the “Conferences and Meetings” panel back together again, to reflect on what they have seen and learned in the intervening weeks. The session we held in March was extremely lively with many questions. As things are continuing to change rapidly, we asked them to join us again to reflect on what has changed in the last month or so, and what they have learnt.

Join us in conversation with societies about their governance, discussing the need for an evolving governance structure that meets the needs of our changing organisations. Is your board of directors or trustees made up of 30 people or three? (And which is better?) Who on your board has responsibility for communications or finance? Do they have the appropriate expertise? If not, what should the society do about that? Do members feed in to the decision making at the society? How? Which ways work best?
